Prior to opening the business with her husband Nick Larsen, Petrushka worked as Vice President for Programs & Education at the Brooklyn Children’s Museum and Program Director at the Laundromat Project, a non-profit organization committed to building resilient neighborhoods using art, art making, and culture as platforms for meaningful exchanges between New York residents. Throughout the year, she hosts community programs for Sugar Hill Creamery customers and neighbors that include a New Mom’s Group, Book Club, and Craft Night. In her spare time, she is an adjunct lecturer in Art Education, works with the parent-centered Harlem non-profit Harlem4Kids as a Board Member, and manages a coaching practice called “askpetrushka” for women looking to make career changes, start businesses, or start families in New York City.
